Prescription-style Skincare Routine for

Combination & Sensitive Skin

This step-by-step skincare plan is designed for combination, sensitive, and textured skin with
blackheads and occasional acne. The focus is on balancing hydration, reducing clogged pores,
smoothing texture, and brightening overall tone.

■ Morning Routine
1 Cleanser: AHA Glow Face Wash (current) or CeraVe Foaming Cleanser / Bioderma Sébium
Gel Moussant.

2 Toner: Klairs Supple Preparation Toner or Minimalist PHA 3% + Biotic Toner.

3 Serum: Niacinamide 5% (The Ordinary / Minimalist / Dr. Sheth’s).

4 Moisturizer: Episoft AC / CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion / Bioderma Atoderm Crème.

5 Sunscreen: La Shield SPF 40 Gel / UV Doux Silicone Sunscreen / Re’equil Ultra Matte Dry
Touch Sunscreen.

■ Night Routine
1 Cleanser: Gentle cleanser (same as morning).
2 Treatment: Apply retinoid (Adapalene 0.1% or Tretinoin 0.025%) starting every 3rd night, then
every 2nd night.

3 Non-retinoid nights: Use Niacinamide 5% or Minimalist Lactic Acid 10% serum once or twice a
week.

4 Moisturizer: Episoft AC or CeraVe PM Lotion.

5 For dark circles: The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG or Minimalist Eye Cream
(Caffeine + Peptides).

■ Weekly Add-ons
1 1–2x/week: Clay mask for blackheads (Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask / Dot & Key
Charcoal Clay Mask).

2 1x/week: Hydrating sheet mask (after retinoid night gap).

■■ Step-by-Step 4-Week Schedule

**Week 1–2:** • Use retinoid every 3rd night. • Morning: Niacinamide daily. • Night (non-retinoid
days): Niacinamide or just moisturizer. • Once a week: Clay mask. **Week 3–4:** • Use retinoid
every 2nd night. • Continue Niacinamide in mornings. • Use Lactic Acid serum once weekly. • Sheet
mask once a week for hydration.

■ Additional Tips
1 Always apply retinoid on completely dry skin and follow with moisturizer.
2 Avoid using exfoliating acids and retinoid in the same routine.
3 Expect mild purging for 2–4 weeks after starting retinoid — do not stop unless irritation is
severe.

4 Daily sunscreen use is mandatory, even indoors.

5 Avoid picking blackheads; retinoids will clear them gradually.
