Possible Questions for Ad Hoc Interview,.

1. Tell me about yourself.

Good afternoon, ma’am/sir. I am Cedric D. Icaro, 25 years old, residing in

Caloocan City. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from
the University of Caloocan City.
During my college years, I used to serenade in pageants and join singing
contests, which helped me build confidence. I am currently working as a
motor taxi driver while waiting for this opportunity.
I aspire to become a police officer because I deeply admire my relatives who
are in the police service. Their courage, discipline, and dedication to
protecting others inspire me to follow in their footsteps and serve our
community.
I am a disciplined, honest, and determined individual who is ready to give my
best in serving the people. "I fully understand the responsibilities and am
committed to performing the duties of a police officer with integrity and
dedication."
Lastly, thank you very much for this opportunity, ma’am/sir. If I am given the
chance to serve, I assure you that your trust will never be wasted.

2. Why do you want to join PNP?

I want to become a police officer because it’s both a meaningful and

practical path for me. I grew up seeing my relatives in the service, and I’ve
always admired their courage and discipline and sense of responsibility that
comes with the uniform. In addition, I also know that the PNP provides stable
income and benefits, and for me, that means I can support my family while
doing something with purpose. Lastly, we all know that the crime rate here in
the Philippines is so high. If I were given a chance to become a police officer,
I would apprehend every criminal in every city that I am assigned to, and I
would also sacrifice my life to ensure public safety and to help reduce the
criminality in our society.
Follow up q: pwede ka naman sa ibang bureau stable din don?
Yes, Sir, I always consider the other bureau, but the PNP announced that
there is a quota, so I immediately grabbed the opportunity. Because I believe
that our God has a purpose; that's why he puts me here.

[Link] are your strengths and weaknesses?

follow the rules and keep my composure. Being very task-focused is one of
my weaknesses, but I'm learning to balance it by communicating with others
and paying more attention to my surroundings

I will stay calm, think clearly, and follow the proper procedure. Pressure is
part of police work, and being composed allows me to make the right
decisions

I aspire to become a police officer because I deeply admire my relatives in

best, which motivates me to pursue a career as a police officer.

6. Are you ready to be assigned anywhere in the

country?

Yes, ma’am/sir. I prepared myself physically, mentally, and morally for this

PNP officer?

I am disciplined, honest, and determined to give my all in service. I’m always
willing to learn new knowledge that comes from my superior. I'm looking
forward to the responsibilities and the sense of purpose that come with
wearing the uniform, not simply the job.
Pano mo nasabing disiplinado ka?
I will say that I am disciplined because during our college days we are
trained to always follow the instruction and abide by the rules and not do
sarcom

9. How will you promote peace and order in your

barangay?

I will promote peace and order in my barangay by being a responsible

programs, and working together with my neighbours to keep our area safe,
clean, and united.
