Dear Dr. Daguil:

Greetings!

I am writing to express my interest in applying to be a Lecturer in the Department of


Communication and Humanities - College of Humanities and Social Sciences at your
university. I have known about the job vacancy on the official page of Caraga State
University. As a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies graduate, I have the relevant
skills to contribute to your office.

I completed my degree at Central Mindanao University last June 21, 2024, with Latin honors.
In the program, I was engrossed in the broad dynamics of the English language system. We
were immersed in technical writing, conducting quantitative and qualitative research,
presenting language topics in the classroom, performing speech activities, creating
advertising and marketing slogans, and classroom teaching, which developed my flexibility
and critical thinking skills.

Further, the training I have received in my undergraduate degree has enhanced my English
communication skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills, and work ethic. Last July, I was
privately hired for a research assistant position under Progress Inc. The qualitative research
was about the 7-year Sexual Health and Empowerment (SHE) program of OXFAM
Philippines. My tasks revolved around managing the documentation, recording the data
collection, and connecting with the focal persons and participants in two municipalities of
Region 10.

On the other hand, my undergraduate subjects allowed me to do a demo teaching for


elementary and college students. Thus, my inclination towards a teaching career led me to
enroll in the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics at the University of Southeastern
Philippines, Davao City, last August.

With this regard, I hope to prove my credentials and attain more responsibilities in your
institution. I affirm that my skills and knowledge will be an asset to your office. Thank you for
