Đề bài:

The use of the internet has led to a rise in cybercrime, especially among
teenagers.
➡️What are the causes of this problem, and what solutions can be
implemented?

📝 Band 9 Sample Essay:

In recent decades, the widespread use of the internet has transformed

how people interact, learn, and conduct business. However, this digital
revolution (cách mạng số) has also contributed to a significant increase in
cybercrime, particularly among teenagers. This essay will examine the
main causes of this troubling trend and suggest practical solutions to
combat it.

One major reason for the rise in cybercrime among adolescents is the lack
of proper digital education. Many young individuals are unaware of online
ethics and the legal consequences of their actions. As a result, some
engage in hacking, identity theft, or spreading malicious (độc hại) content
out of curiosity or peer pressure, without fully understanding the gravity of
such behaviors. Another contributing factor is the easy accessibility of
advanced technology. Today’s teenagers possess smartphones, laptops,
and high-speed internet from an early age, which, when combined with
unsupervised screen time, increases the likelihood (khả năng) of misuse (lạm
dụng). Moreover, the anonymity (sự ẩn danh) provided by the internet can
embolden teenagers to commit cybercrimes without fearing immediate
repercussions.

To tackle this issue effectively, a multi-pronged approach (cách tiếp cận đa

phương diện) is required. Firstly, governments and schools should
incorporate comprehensive digital literacy programs into the curriculum,
teaching students about cybersecurity, responsible internet use, and the
legal implications of cyber offenses. These programs should also promote
empathy and ethical thinking (Sự đồng đạo và tư duy đạo đức) . Secondly,
parents must play a more active role by monitoring their children’s online
activities and fostering open communication about technology use. Lastly,
stricter regulations and improved tracking systems can act as deterrents
by increasing the chances of cybercriminals being identified and
prosecuted.

In conclusion, the rise in cybercrime among teenagers is largely driven by

insufficient awareness and the easy accessibility of technology. However,
through education, parental involvement, and stricter law enforcement,
this growing issue can be mitigated effectively.
