The sections offered, namely the General Academic Strand (GAS) and the Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), reflect a bifurcated academic structure that caters to varied student interests and career aspirations. By providing these distinct strands, Our Lady of Fatima High School Inc. aligns its academic offerings with broader educational goals of accommodating diverse student needs and preparing them for different fields of higher education or vocational pathways .

The methodological design, particularly its systematic sampling and focus on specific strands, may limit generalizability as the findings are tightly linked to the unique educational and cultural context of Our Lady of Fatima High School Inc. While systematic sampling enhances internal validity, other institutions might have different attendance dynamics due to varying curricula, student demographics, or cultural contexts, which could impact the transferability of the findings .

The study used a systematic sampling methodology to select 134 senior high school students as respondents from Our Lady of Fatima High School Inc. . This method is significant because it aims to ensure that every student in the target population had an equal chance of being selected, which helps provide a representative sample and strengthens the validity of the research findings.

The class beadle plays a critical role in identifying students who frequently fail to maintain regular attendance, thus serving as a knowledgeable informant to help refine the selection of respondents. Their involvement ensures that selected participants accurately represent the target population experiencing attendance issues, which enhances the data collection's relevancy and effectiveness .

The implications for educators regarding the findings on student attendance could include the need to develop targeted intervention strategies that address the specific causes of absenteeism identified in the study. By understanding the common factors affecting attendance, educators at Our Lady of Fatima High School Inc. can implement policies or programs aimed at mitigating these issues, potentially including mentorship programs, enhanced communication with parents, or personalized academic support .

Cultural or institutional factors, such as the school's membership in the Bukidnon Association of Catholic Schools and its educational policies, could impact findings by influencing student behavior and attitudes towards attendance. Factors like school culture emphasizing discipline or familial expectations within the community could either deter absenteeism or be a source of conflict affecting attendance, thus impacting the findings .

Potential limitations of using survey questionnaires include response biases where students may not accurately report their attendance behaviors or underlying causes due to social desirability bias. There may also be limitations in capturing nuanced aspects of attendance behavior or contextual factors not covered by the questionnaire, which can affect the comprehensiveness of the data collected .

The use of the central tendency, particularly the mode, contributes to the analysis by identifying the most frequently occurring responses regarding attendance factors. This helps reveal common patterns or behaviors in attendance across the student sample, allowing researchers to focus on prevalent issues or tendencies .

The procedural design, including the communication with respondents and the systematic distribution of questionnaires, influences the study’s reliability by ensuring that data collected is consistent and from a clearly defined cohort. Systematic procedures help minimize bias and variances that could occur if respondents were chosen haphazardly, thereby supporting the reliability and replicability of the findings related to attendance patterns .

Systematic sampling might be preferred in this research context because it allows for a straightforward and unbiased selection of participants. It ensures that the sample is spread evenly across the entire population, which can help to avoid clustering effects and ensure the generalizability of the findings to the broader student body at Our Lady of Fatima High School Inc. .
