Simple Present Tense
What is Simple Present Tense?
Simple Present Tense is a grammatical form used to talk about actions that are happening regularly, habits,
routines, general truths, and facts. It describes actions that are true in the present or actions that happen
repeatedly.
How to Form Simple Present Tense:
For most verbs, the base form of the verb (infinitive) is used. However, the third person singular (he, she, it)
usually adds "-s" or "-es" to the base form.
Using Simple Present Tense:
• To talk about things that are true in general.

Example: Dogs are friendly animals.

• To express habits and routines.

Example: I brush my teeth every morning.

• To state facts or truths.

Example: The sun rises in the east.

• With third person singular subjects (he, she, it), add "-s" or "-es" to the verb.

Example: She plays the piano.
