1. Introduction
The project “Design, Development, and Performance Evaluation of DIY Wind Turbine
for Sustainable Mobile Device Charging” aimed to create a low-cost, efficient, and
portable wind energy solution for charging mobile devices. This initiative was driven
by the need for sustainable and off-grid charging solutions, especially in remote
areas with limited electricity access.

2. Objectives
- Design and develop a DIY wind turbine using affordable and accessible materials.
- Optimize the turbine’s performance for small-scale power generation.
- Evaluate its efficiency in different wind conditions.
- Promote renewable energy solutions for mobile charging.

3. Accomplishments
3.1. Design and Development
✔ Conceptualized and finalized a DIY wind turbine design suitable for small-scale
power generation.
✔ Selected and procured cost-effective materials, including turbine blades, a
generator, and electronic components for power conversion.
✔ Assembled the wind turbine with an optimized blade design for increased
efficiency.
3.2. Performance Evaluation
✔ Conducted multiple field tests to measure energy output under varying wind
speeds.
✔ Optimized the turbine’s efficiency by adjusting blade angles and generator
specifications.
✔ Evaluated charging capabilities for different mobile devices and ensured stable
power output.

3.3. Sustainability and Impact

✔ Demonstrated the feasibility of using wind energy for mobile charging in off-grid
areas.
✔ Reduced dependence on non-renewable energy sources by promoting clean
energy alternatives.
✔ Created a comprehensive guide for DIY wind turbine assembly and usage.
