The semiconductor industry is crucial for global technology, powering devices from

investments, R&D advancements, and a skilled workforce. Despite progress, India must
enhance innovation, infrastructure, and the business environment to achieve its goal of
becoming a semiconductor superpower. The paper examines India’s current industry
position, growth drivers, and necessary steps to become a global leader.
