Currently, structural models are being developed using computers, which sets the stage for
the civil engineering curriculum includes the subject of Structural Analysis so that
it is part of the curriculum.
It is important for the training of Civil Engineering students to have a subject that provides them with a
allow to learn to analyze structural systems.
To understand the behavior of structural systems under actions, it is necessary to learn the
methods included in the course, some of which have been used in computer programs.
In addition to the above, the study of this subject is essential for those students who will continue
studying in the graduate program of Structures.
In its position on the curricular map, it has as a subject background in a vertical line to the subjects of
Masonry Structures and Material Resistance; and as a subsequent subject to Concrete Structures.
