Macbeth – Simple Story Summary
Macbeth is a brave soldier.
One day, three witches tell him:
“You will become king.”
Macbeth is surprised.
He tells his wife, Lady Macbeth.
She wants him to be king right away.
She says:
“Kill the king!”
Macbeth kills King Duncan in his sleep.
Macbeth becomes the new king.
But Macbeth feels scared and guilty.
He starts to kill more people to stay king.
He kills his friend Banquo.
He also kills many other people.
Lady Macbeth feels very guilty too.
She sees blood in her dreams and says:
“Out, damned spot!”
In the end, Macduff fights Macbeth.
Macduff kills Macbeth.
A good man, Malcolm, becomes the new king.
