2. OBJECTIVES AND USES OF BIM

The objective of using BIM in the Construction stage is to ensure that all
the parts and/or participants of a project at any of its stages are
clearly aware of the opportunities and responsibilities associated with the
incorporation of BIM into the coordinated Architecture project workflow,
Structure and Specialties, considering the requirements, scope, deadlines,
definitions of costs, materials, and regulations, in order to prevent errors and generate
a design file suitable for the execution of the Construction. This must be
carried out in accordance with the design requirements.

2.A Objectives of using BIM in the project

2.B BIM Uses

BIM Uses are methods of applying BIM during the life cycle of a
building or infrastructure to achieve one or more specific objectives. These uses
they serve to explain the different ways in which project stakeholders
they can use BIM.

5.E Work Protocols with Specialists

5.E1 Generalities
1. The software used for all models will be Autodesk Revit 2022.
(Architecture - Structure - MEP - Site)
2. The name of the models must correspond to the naming convention.
established in the execution plan of BIM
3. Excessive modeling should be avoided (the creation of elements beyond the
necessary level of detail) and the lack of information (the creation of elements
below the expected level).
4. Information level (NDI 3): Detailed information on size, shape,

5.E2 Deliverables in *.RVT Format

[Link]
Once a plant, cut and/or elevation has begun to be duplicated.
in the project, do not delete the original view.
The original views must be grouped and clearly identified within the
Project browser.
Each view must be classified within the Project Browser according to its function.
whether for work, documentation.

ii. Quantification Tables

All tables that correspond to the quantification of elements and calculation of
surfaces must be the direct result of the model, for example (doors,
windows, partitions, sanitary fixtures, etc.) with the aim of being able to
future annexes of the technical specifications.

iii. Family Modeling *.Rfa

Family names must be correctly ordered in the browser.
and with a coherent name for the element.
All created families must correspond to the correct category of the
program, that is, a wall must be created with the wall tool and so on for
all kinds of family.
The use of onsite modeled families is prohibited, component 'model in'
place.” The “model in place” families must be used only and
exceptionally in special cases of the project, which will be validated
by the project BIM Manager.
Specific parameters must be included within the project to satisfy
la necesidad de conectar el modelo con bases de datos utilizadas en la fase de
construction and operation.
Each family must be associated with the level that corresponds to them. It is prohibited
model families with phases that cause the reference level not to
matches the actual level where you are.
Families without a 'host' will be prioritized to avoid the loss of hosted elements.
when deleting the reference or copying and pasting. If there are families with host, it should be
review the relationship between them while being careful not to associate elements of one level with another.
Families must have the necessary connections to associate them with the
specialties that use them.

6. BIM SCOPE BY SPECIALTY

6.1. Architecture
6.1.1. Modeling System

The 3D Model must unify the planimetric, functional, and

referenced from all the component elements of the built work, thus
also of the equipment.
The unions of elements such as walls, slabs, roofs should not overlap.
avoid repeated accounting in quantification. Connections of slabs-walls.
The walls will be modeled by level in order to establish construction sequences.
depending on the phase the project is in.
The cladding elements must be modeled within the partition or wall.
assigned separate from the structure or heavy work, in the case of the
floor coverings must be modeled as an independent family
from the slab that supports it.
For floor coverings, the edge will always be taken into account.
vertical parameters to obtain a more precise and realistic quantification.
Consider pits and elevator shafts, stairwells.

6.1.2. Habitaciones (“Rooms”), Espacios (“Space”) Zonas

(“Zones”)

All rooms must be created with the 'room' tool. Even the
stairs, evacuation routes, corridors, and interstitial spaces such as shafts.
All venues must have their respective space equivalent and in turn the spaces
they must be organized by zones.
The names of the 'rooms' must correspond to the convention of
established nomenclatures.
The room number will be established by floor and set order.
The "rooms" must be defined by walls, floors, ceilings, or roofs.
special cases where there are no dividing elements will use the tool

6.2. Structure
6.2.1. Modeling System

The slabs must be modeled according to the nomenclature established by the

specialist to establish constructive sequences according to the phase of
project. The strategy of division among elements responds to: in the case of the
The interior area of the project will take the axis lines of the walls and in the

The rebar and embedded elements will not be modeled.
Bolts and details of anchor elements are not modeled.
The walls will be modeled by level, in order to establish construction sequences.

The *.NWC formats will be exported from the native Revit models, with which...
it will build the *.NWF file and then they will be compiled into the *.NWD file,

9. VISUALIZATION DOWNLOAD OF PLANS, DOCUMENTS, AND 3D MODELS

9.1. Document Storage

The documentation will be stored within the G-Drive platform.

9.2. Cloud Collaboration Service

BIM models will be stored and updated from the Google Drive platform in the
shared folder for that purpose.

9.3. Methodology
From the Google Drive folder, you will be able to access all the updated models.
and they will be available for download to work on them
Work will be done from the model intended for coordination EPLH-LNK-MEP-RVT-CC-v01-
Inside this, the coordinated plans, sheets, and files will be stored.
