1 EXT. DESERT - DAY 1

ZOOM IN on a dark tower amidst a desolate landscape.

Everything is in Black and White.

2 INT. TOWER - DAY 2

The KING OF SHADOWS, a wraith of a man draped in black with

his face obscured, stands beside the miniscule MURKY. They
look out of the window over the landscape.

MURKY
She is still alive. The light-
bringer. On another world.

KING OF SHADOWS
It matters not.

3 INT. PRISON 3

Seven children aged 7-9 sit huddled in a prison cell, dirty

and defeated. They are RED BUTLER, LALA ORANGE, CANARY
YELLOW, PATTY O’GREEN, BUDDY BLUE, INDIGO and SHY VIOLET.

KING OF SHADOWS
We have what we need.

MURKY (V.O.)
And the children?

Lala orange hides her head in her knees, weeping.

4 INT. TOWER 4
The King’s eyes grow red slightly.

KING OF SHADOWS
Leave them. She will come to us.

SMASH TO BLACK:

5 EXT. COUNTRY ROAD - DAY - COLOR 5

FLASH IN as WISP, a blonde girl around 7-9 years old, walks

along the side of the road carrying a backpack. She looks
down as she walks, a runaway.

6 INT. HOUSE - FLASHBACK 6

Wisps’s FATHER and MOTHER argue in the living room.

MOTHER
That is ridiculous! You had no
right to do that.

FATHER
Oh, I had no right? Like you’re
special now?

MOTHER
Please. I have done everything for her.

FATHER
She’s not your daughter either. We’ve
both worked to provide for her.

MOTHER
And what did you provide exactly?

FATHER
What you want me to start listing?

MOTHER
Yeah. You tell me.

The whole time they’re arguing, Wisp watches from the

doorway. She hoists a backpack on her shoulder and exits.

FLASH TO:

7 EXT. COUNTRY ROAD - PRESENT 7

Wisp continues walking.

From behind a boulder, the antennae and hands of the sprite

TWINK emerge.

Wisp looks over her shoulder, but sees nothing.

Looking back, she doesn’t notice a large circular hole in the

ground. She falls, descending into darkness in SLOW MOTION.

FADE TO BLACK:

8 EXT. DESERT - DAY - B&W 8

Wisp lays on the ground, eyes closed. She wears an almost

Elvish-style fantasy vest and bracers. Her eyes snap open.
 3.

She rises to her feet, looking around. The worn and older
voice of Twink narrates.

WISP (V.O.)
What is this place?

TWINK (V.O.)
Our world. Your world. A world
without life.

9 INT. LIBRARY - B&W 9

Wisp sneaks through the library, a store room or artifacts.

She notices and creeps toward a crystal scepter sticking out
of a chest.

TWINK (V.O.)
It was taken from us by the King of
Darkness.

WISP (V.O.)
And what do you expect me to do
about it?

TWINK (V.O.)
You are our champion, Wisp. We
expect you to take it back.

Wisp holds out the scepter, which begins to glow in COLOR.

After charging it explodes with light, washing over the
library and bringing color to the room in a flash.

10 EXT. DESERT 10

The tower windows flash with light as a rainbow spotlight

beam bursts from the top. COLOR radiates outward.

11 EXT. DESERT (2) 11

The King of Darkness stands on a dune, raising his hands as

magic washes over the sand.
 4.

A snarling Goblin leaps from the sand and scampers away.

12 EXT. DESERT CANYON 12

Wisp runs with the scepter through a rocky canyon. She is the
only thing in color, as the landscape is still black & white.

A horde of identical-looking Goblins snarls and chases after

her. She runs toward the CAMERA away from them.

BLACK TITLE
SCREEN:

SUPER: THE FUTURE

13 INT. PRISON 13

Murky swings a sword at Wisp, who ducks and spins. She SHOOTS
him with the scepter.

The rainbow energy blasts Murky against the wall.

14 EXT. DESERT CANYON 14

A magically massive sandstorm roars through the canyon gorge.

ZOOM on Wisp, who stands defensively in front of the 7

Rainbow children.

Side Shot. She holds the scepter like a shield, a magical

rainbow of energy forming a force field that redirects the
river of sand around the cowering children.

BLACK TITLE
SCREEN:

SUPER: IS BRITE
 5.

15 EXT. DESERT CANYON - DAY 15

Wisp covers her eyes as she stands on a boulder.

Seen from behind, she and the sun are the only things in
color.

16 EXT. FIELD 16

A white stallion runs toward us from the distance.

Wisp smiles on seeing him.

VWS as the horse and rider gallop across the horizon. As it

goes, the horse trails a swath of color over the black and
white landscape.

SMASH TO BLACK:

17 INT. TOWER 17

The King of Darkness looms over Wisp, who backs away timidly.

KING OF DARKNESS
Do you truly believe you can defeat
me, child?

Wisp hesitates a moment but stands resolute.

WISP
Yes.
