Simplified University Database Example

The document describes a simplified example of a UNIVERSITY database, which includes five tables: STUDENT, COURSE, SECTION, GRADE_REPORT, and PREREQUISITE. It explains how each table stores specific data related to students, courses, and their performance. The example aims to help beginners understand the primary function of a DBMS in organizing data in a structured manner and maintaining relationships between different data entities.

Beb, tumne UNIVERSITY database ka example diya hai jo ek classical DBMS ke introductory

chapter me aata hai. Ye basically ek relational database model ka simplified version hai jisme 5
alag–alag files (ya tables) hote hain:

1. STUDENT → Har student ka data (Roll No, Name, Major, Class, Age, etc.)

2. COURSE → Har course ka data (Course No, Course Name, Department, Credit Hours, etc.)

3. SECTION → Course ke sections (Course No, Section No, Instructor, Semester, Year, etc.)

4. GRADE_REPORT → Kis student ne kis section me kya grade paaya.

5. PREREQUISITE → Kis course ka kya prerequisite hai.

👉 Matlab simple words me:

Agar tum ek student ho, tumhara record STUDENT me hoga.

Tum jo subject lete ho vo COURSE me define hai.

Us subject ke alag–alag SECTION hote hain (jaise "CSE101 - Section A by Prof. X").

Tumhari performance GRADE_REPORT me store hogi.

Aur course ko padhne se pehle jo course chahiye hota hai vo PREREQUISITE me hota hai.

Ye example isliye diya jata hai taki beginner samajh sake ki DBMS ka main kaam hai data ko
structured form me organize karna aur relations maintain karna.
