The maps compare changed happened in a town center between the year of 1990 and now.

Overall, the
center has become more modernized with enhance residential areas, shopping center and pedestrian-
friendly zones.

In the south of the town, there were a street of terraced houses lining Green street and, which has been
then replaced by blocks of apartments. Opposite these residential area, across Green street, were the
park, a libray and a town hall, all of which has been remain intact until today. On the left of the hall,
acrross oldfiedstreet, a bank has been demolish to make room for a café. Crossing lines were added on
the streets connecting the Town Hall with the café and the apartment blocks. Another development
which makes people walks more conveniently is the transformation of Smith street from a vehicle road
to a walking zone.

The north of the town experienced more significant modernization. Five houses lining Smith Street,
which used to be a newagents, a groccer’s, a butcher’s and a café were converted into a big shopping
mall while the childcare institution adjacent to them remain intact. Similarity has happened to the bank
opposite it, acrossing oldfieldStreet. To the north of all mention area, Newton Street also has gone
through no changes.
