PROMOTION OF READING
The purpose of the curricular unit promoting reading is to create conditions for
the participants so that they acquire skills that allow them to promote the
reading with the aim of fostering the habit of reading. Speaking, listening, and reading are aspects
fundamental for man, which is why it is difficult to conceive of life without these
processes, especially reading, a habit that develops knowledge in the individual
and skills to generate self-learning, lifelong education, independence
intellectual and the democratization of knowledge.
The program allows the acquisition of skills and abilities to promote reading
within their community.
The implementation of the content matrix will allow for the competition of
comprehension of reading through a given text, dissemination of reading processes,
distinction and classification of types of texts, strategies to encourage
Reading in young children and adults, knowing the policies and regulations of the
reading in Venezuela and other Latin American countries. All these aspects under a
ethical, value-based attitude, with national identity emphasizing popular culture.
