Confirmation Study Guide
Bishop Ricken has asked that all students preparing for confirmation are aware of the
following. These are very basic aspects of the Catholic Faith; most should have been taught
in the lower CCD grades. If you have questions, a good place to start is your YouCat.

We will be reviewing these concepts throughout the year. Pay particular attention to the Gifts
of the Holy Spirit, the Virtues (and the Cardinal/Theological Virtues), the Four Marks of the
Church, and the Four Evangelists..
I. Ten Commandments:
1. I am the Lord your God; you shall not have strange Gods before me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Lord’s Day.
