Essential Packing Guide for Canada Study Visa Students

Planning your luggage for traveling to Canada as a student on a study visa requires careful
consideration to ensure you have all the necessary items for your stay.
“Essential Packing Guide for Canada Study Visa Students ”

Below is a comprehensive plan for your luggage, including a list of relevant products and
materials to pack:
Relevant Products and Materials Checklist Summary:
✓ Clothing & Accessories
✓ Kitchen Basics
✓ Personal Care and Toiletries
✓ Electronics & Gears
✓ Travel Documents and Essentials
✓ Miscellaneous

Baggage Allowance: Check your airline's policy; typically, 2 bags of 23-27kg each, and a
7-12kg hand-carry with a laptop bag and suit (you can redistribute items if checked luggage
exceeds the limit).

Essential Items: Prepare with items like warm clothing for the Canadian weather, raincoat,
toiletries, personal care items, and appropriate shoes.

Medications: Bring necessary medications as purchasing in Canada can be expensive.

Document Copies: Carry two sets of all visa application documents in different bags and
keep a digital copy on your laptop.

Divide Luggage: Organize items in separate bags to be self-sufficient in case of lost

baggage.

Purchase in Canada: While some items can be bought in Canada, consider bringing
essentials to save on costs.

Preparation is Key: Plan wisely to embark on your Canadian journey confidently and
gracefully.

Note! Divide your luggage into bags such that you can easily live with items in the bag in
case the other bag is lost by the airline. Although in that case they find and return the lost
baggage after a week or two, or pay you if they don’t find it, still, you must live for a week
or two without that bag. This is a rare case, but it happened with a friend of mine so don’t
put all your shirts etc., all in one bag.
