The second quarter of General Mathematics has taught me many things, not only in terms of academic

lessons but also about patience and self-discipline as real life lessons. As always, mathematics has been
one of the most challenging subjects for me. It can be confusing, frustrating, and discouraging
sometimes, especially for students who are not naturally intelligent in solving numbers or understanding
formulas quickly like me. I have always considered myself someone who loves math, yet sometimes it
feels like math does not love me back. No matter how much effort I gave, or how many index cards I
bring during tests, solving problems correctly still feels like a never-ending struggle.

Despite these challenges, I am still grateful because I continue to learn valuable lessons that is not just
equations and computations. One thing that made this quarter manageable was our teacher’s kindness
and understanding to us, his students. He is considerate enough to give us small advantages during tests
and quizzes, especially when our lessons are not yet fully discussed. Even though we sometimes fall
behind our schedule, he makes sure that we at least understand the main idea of each topic and guides
us patiently until we grasp the lessons.

With this quarter's experience, I have realized that General Mathematics doesn't only teach us how to
solve numbers, it also teaches us how to solve real-life problems. It taught me the importance of
managing my time wisely, setting priorities, and being consistent with my efforts. I learned that writing
notes and making index cards may seem simple, but they require patience and discipline. These small
habits make a big difference during exams and help me remember that success in math, just like in life,
depends on hard work and patience.

As we move on to our next subject, which is Statistics and Probability, I feel nervous and excited at the
same time. I know it will come with its own set of challenges, but I am also hopeful that it will be
another opportunity for us to grow and learn. I want to continue improving, gaining more knowledge,
and developing a better mindset towards learning. Hopefully, this time, math will finally learn to love me
back.
