The Quaid-i-Azam led his people through the terrible first year of their history. When the
country was divided, millions of people had crossed the border of the new state. The sight
of these homeless people moved Jinnah to tears. The angry crowds murdered the people,
stole the property and burned homes. Millions of Muslims were killed or kidnapped. All
this killing and destruction shocked Jinnah who begged for peace and friendship but
unfortunately, it was all in vain.
