Daily Routine

To create your own daily routine, make a list of your typical activities, such as "wake
up," "brush teeth," "go to work," and "have dinner," then write simple sentences in the
present tense, like "I have a shower" or "I go to school". Use time expressions and
frequency adverbs, such as "I usually have breakfast at 7:30 a.m." or "I sometimes go to
the gym," to make your description more detailed.
1. Brainstorm Your Daily Activities Start by listing all the things you do in a typical day,
from the moment you wake up to when you go to bed.

● Morning: wake up, get up, brush your teeth, wash your face, have a shower, eat
breakfast, get dressed, go to work/school, walk the dog.
● Afternoon: have lunch, work on your computer, attend classes, do homework.
● Evening: finish work, go home, eat dinner, read, watch TV, go to bed.
● Other activities: go to the gym, surf the internet, check email, check social
media.

2. Write Simple Present Tense Sentences Use the present simple tense to talk about
habits and routines. I have breakfast, I go to work, and I eat dinner.
3. Use Time Expressions and Frequency Adverbs Add details to your sentences with
words that indicate time or how often something happens.

● Time expressions:
● I wake up at 6:00 a.m..
● I leave home around 8:30.
● Frequency adverbs:
● I usually have cereal for breakfast.
● I sometimes have lunch at the cafeteria.

Example

Here's an example of a simple daily routine: "I wake up at 7:00 a.m. I brush my teeth
and have a shower. Then, I get dressed and eat breakfast. After that, I go to school and
have classes. I eat lunch at school, and in the afternoon, I go home. In the evening, I
have dinner and then watch TV before going to bed".
