INT. SHARMA HOME – DINING AREA – EVENING
A warm yellow light fills the room. The family dinner is served, but only Mrs.
Sharma and Mr. Sharma are at the table.
The door creaks. Kabir walks in, looking dull and restless, tossing his bag aside.
MRS. SHARMA
(thinking he’s tired)
Kya hua beta, school mein kuch hua kya?
KABIR
(trying to brush it off)
Nahi Maa, sab theek hai… bas thoda tension hai exams ka.
He sits down silently, barely eating. Mr. Sharma watches, concerned.
MR. SHARMA
Tension har kisi ko hota hai, Kabir. Lekin uska matlab yeh nahi ki hum khud ko
ignore kar dein.
Kabir shrugs.
KABIR
Friends bol rahe the… thoda chill karne ke liye party karte hain. “Ek drink se kya
hota hai.” Bas soch raha tha… maybe try kar loon.
Mr. Sharma’s expression changes — not angry, but serious. He sets his spoon
down.
MR. SHARMA
Beta, woh “ek drink” kabhi ek pe rukti nahi. Aur problem solve nahi karti — bas
kuch der ke liye chhup jaati hai.
MRS. SHARMA
Aur jo tension hai na, woh dobara aata hai — aur is baar aur zyada bhar ke.
Kabir looks down, absorbing their words.
INT. SHARMA HOME – VERANDAH – LATER THAT NIGHT
The night air is quiet. Mr. Sharma and Kabir sit outside with two cups of chai.
MR. SHARMA
(mainly sharing, not preaching)
Main jab teri umar ka tha, mujhe bhi lagta tha sab pressure hai. Lekin jab bhi
mann udaas hota tha, main likhta tha… ya kahin ghoom aata tha.
(looks at him kindly)
Har generation ke apne stress hote hain, par unhe sambhalne ke tareeke hamesha
safe hone chahiye.
Kabir nods slowly.
KABIR
Bas kabhi kabhi lagta hai sab mujhse aage nikal rahe hain. Mujhe bhi “cool”
dikhna tha.
MR. SHARMA
Cool woh hota hai jo apni zimmedari aur sehat dono sambhale. Escape karna
aasaan lagta hai, lekin apne pairon pe khada rehna — woh asli himmat hai.
They share a small, genuine smile.
INT. SHARMA HOME – LIVING ROOM – NEXT MORNING
Mrs. Sharma is packing tiffins. Kabir comes in, looking fresher.
KABIR
Maa… main soch raha tha school ke after football join kar loon. Thoda mind clear
rahega.
MRS. SHARMA
(smiling proudly)
Bahut accha idea hai. Body bhi strong, mind bhi.
Kabir picks up his bag. As he leaves, he pauses and turns to Mr. Sharma.
KABIR
Papa, kal ki baat… shukriya. Aaj lagta hai thoda halka sa.
Mr. Sharma smiles, gently patting his shoulder.
MR. SHARMA
Beta, baat karna hamesha pehla kadam hota hai. Hum hamesha yahin hain.
Kabir nods, walking out with renewed confidence.
CLOSING PLATE (ON-SCREEN TEXT)
“Alcohol ya drugs kabhi solution nahi hote — sirf chhupi hui problem ko aur
gehra karte hain.”
“Stress aur pressure ko samjho, share karo, aur healthy tareeke se handle karo.”
“Talk early. Talk often. Because prevention begins at home.”
FADE OUT.
