INT. KITCHEN – MORNING
Sameer walks in, still groggy from sleep. Mr. Sharma sits at the table with his
newspaper and a cup of chai. He looks up and offers a small smile.
MR. SHARMA
Good morning. Aaj school jaane ka mann hai ya break chahiye?
Sameer keeps his voice low, almost cautious.
SAMEER
School jaata hoon. Waise bhi test wapas milne waale hain.
Mr. Sharma nods. He places a small tiffin box on the table.
Kabir walks past, ruffles Sameer’s hair playfully.
MR. SHARMA
Tiffin mein paratha aur dahi. Tension kam hoti hai dahi se.
He lets out a light chuckle. Sameer gives a faint smile in return.
INT. SAMEER’S ROOM – LATER THAT DAY
Sameer sits at his desk, flipping through his notebook. His shoulders slump with
fatigue.
A gentle knock at the door. Mr. Sharma steps inside, calm and composed.
MR. SHARMA
Aaj ka din kaisa tha?
Sameer answers without looking up.
SAMEER
Thik-thak. Do aur subjects mein bhi average marks aaye.
Mr. Sharma pulls up a chair beside him. His tone carries curiosity, not judgment.
MR. SHARMA
Aur kya lagta hai, kya alag kar sakte ho agli baar?
Sameer shrugs, unsure.
Mr. Sharma opens a notebook, placing it between them.
MR. SHARMA
Main soch raha tha, hum ek plan banayein. Roz thoda revision... aur main bhi help
kar sakta hoon weekends pe.
Sameer looks at him, surprised but quietly reassured.
INT. KITCHEN – FEW DAYS LATER
Sameer studies at the table, headphones on, notes spread in front of him. Mr.
Sharma enters carrying a snack plate.
He sets it down gently and sits beside his son. Sameer removes his headphones, a
small smile tugging at his lips.
MR. SHARMA
Dekh beta, har baar top karna zaroori nahi. Par himmat nahi haarni chahiye.
Tumne already pehla step le liya — wapas uthne ka.
Sameer nods, his smile growing more genuine.
INT. SAMEER’S ROOM – VIDEO CALL – EVENING
Sameer and Mr. Sharma sit side by side on a call with Ms. Aditi, his teacher.
Ms. Aditi smiles warmly through the screen.
MS. ADITI
Sameer ne class mein participation badhaya hai. Yeh progress ka signal hai.
Failures ke baad uthna hi toh asli success hoti hai.
Sameer glances at his father, pride flickering in his eyes.
EXT. EVENING WALK – NIGHTFALL
Sameer and Mr. Sharma walk side by side along a quiet lane. Sameer speaks
animatedly, his gestures lively. Mr. Sharma laughs with him.
The streetlights glow softly as background music fades in.
MR. SHARMA (V.O.)
Har parent galti karta hai. Par jab hum sikhte hain, tabhi bachche bhi seekh paate
hain.
They continue walking, silhouettes fading into the night.
FADE OUT.
