The bar charts show the percentage of government expenditure on roads and transport in four

countries-Italy,Portugal,the Uk and the USA over 15 years from 1990 to [Link],Portugal

always invested the most in this field and it can be seen that the spending in four countries
declined with some fluctuation.
Looking at the Portugal’s figures in more detail,we can see that its figures shows a steady decline
,from about 27% in 1900 to 20%,17% and 16% in 1995,2000 and 2005 respectively.
The figures for Italian’s government spending on road and transport also experienced the same
trend but with lower [Link] 1990 to 2000,its figures went down from 20% to approximately
13% before increased slighty to 14% in 2005.
There was a slightly fluctuation in the USA investment figures of around 10-15% before it
reached 13% in the final year of the [Link],The figures for the Uk government
spending also waved but more significantly, from 12%,it then reached the peak at 14% before
going down to under 10% in 2005 .
A country becomes more interesting and develops more quickly when its population
includes a mixture of nationalities.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, many countries have people from different nationalities living together. I strongly
agree that having a mixture of nationalities makes a country more interesting and helps it
develop faster.

Firstly, cultural diversity makes the community richer and more colorful. When people from
different countries live together, they can organize festivals and events where we can enjoy
different traditional food, music, and customs. These activities help people learn about each other
and understand other cultures better. Also, people from different backgrounds have different
ways of thinking and working. For example, Asian people are usually very creative, while
European people are more practical and realistic. When they work together, they can make
effective plans for economic development. Besides, with more people from different cultures, the
demand for food and clothes increases, so there are more job opportunities for everyone.

Secondly, a mixed population brings an exciting lifestyle. People from different cultures have
different ways of working, studying, and eating. This allows others to observe and learn about
many new cultural aspects. At the same time, people still keep their traditional values and teach
them to the next generations. Moreover, living in a neighborhood with people from different
cultures makes us feel more relaxed and comfortable. Finally, areas with many cultures often
attract more attention and become interesting places for tourists to visit.

In conclusion, I believe that a mixture of nationalities helps a country become more interesting
and grow faster. It brings cultural diversity, better ideas for development, and makes life more
exciting for everyone.
