✅ Slide 1: Title Slide

Script:

Assalamu Alaikum everyone.

I'm [Your Name], from the Department of CSE, DIU.

Today, I will present to you a brief overview of Molecular and Cellular

Biology, specifically focusing on DNA Replication, which is one of the
most fundamental processes in biology.

---
✅ Slide 2: Contents

Script:

Here is the outline of today’s presentation.

We will start with cells and their types, then move to nucleic acids.

We will explore the structure and function of DNA and RNA, and finally
focus on the detailed process of DNA replication.

---

✅ Slide 3: What is Life Made of?

Script:

Let’s begin by asking: what is life made of?

All living organisms are made of cells, and inside those cells, we find
molecules like DNA, RNA, and proteins.

These molecules control everything — from growth and development

to function and reproduction.
---

✅ Slide 4: Cell Types

Script:

There are two types of cells: Eukaryotic and Prokaryotic.

Eukaryotic cells can be single or multicellular, and they have a nucleus

and organelles.

In contrast, prokaryotic cells are always single-celled, do not have a

nucleus, and are mostly found in ancient bacteria.

---

✅ Slide 5: Nucleic Acids

Script:

All life depends on three key molecules — DNA, RNA, and proteins.

DNA holds all the instructions.

RNA carries and delivers those instructions, and proteins do the actual
work inside the cell.
---

✅ Slide 6: Nucleotide Structure

Script:

DNA and RNA are made of units called nucleotides.

Each nucleotide has three parts: a nitrogenous base, a 5-carbon sugar,

and a phosphate group.

The nitrogenous bases are Adenine, Guanine, Cytosine, Thymine (in

DNA), and Uracil (in RNA).

---

✅ Slide 7: DNA Structure

Script:

Now let’s look at the structure of DNA.

DNA is a double helix, discovered by Watson and Crick in 1953.

It consists of two strands running in opposite directions: one from 5’ to

3’, and the other from 3’ to 5’.

A pairs with T, and G pairs with C.

The structure is highly stable, making DNA a reliable molecule for

genetic storage.

---

✅ Slide 8: DNA Replication

Script:

DNA replication is the process of copying DNA before cell division.

It occurs in three stages:

Initiation – Helicase unwinds the strands and a primer is added.

Elongation – DNA polymerase adds new bases. The leading strand is

copied continuously, while the lagging strand forms in short fragments
called Okazaki fragments.

Termination – Primers are removed, gaps are filled, and DNA ligase
seals everything.
It is called semi-conservative, because each new DNA has one old and
one new strand.

---

✅ Slide 9: RNA Structure

Script:

RNA is different from DNA.

It has a single strand, and uses Ribose sugar instead of Deoxyribose.

It contains Uracil instead of Thymine.

RNA is less stable but more versatile — especially for making proteins.

---

✅ Slide 10: Types of RNA

Script:
There are several types of RNA.

mRNA carries the genetic message.

tRNA brings amino acids to the ribosome.

rRNA helps form the ribosome itself.

There are also non-coding RNA, catalytic RNA, and even double-
stranded RNA — which plays roles in gene regulation.

---

✅ Slide 12: Summary

Script:

To summarize — all life is based on cells, and inside those cells, DNA
and RNA control genetic information and protein synthesis.

DNA replication is an essential process to pass genetic information

accurately to the next generation.

---

✅ Slide 13: Thank You

Script:

Thank you for your attention.

If you have any questions, I’d be happy to try and answer them.
