The graph shows how much goods transported in UK using four different

transportation vehicles as million tones between 1974 and 2002.

Overall, we can see that road transportation was the most popular way to
transport in 1974 and it continued to be most popular until 2002 while the least
popular was pipeline. In addition to that, water and rail transportations carried
nearly the same million tones in 1974.

The road vehicles transport 70 millions tones goods which is the biggest
quantity in UK in 1974. It increased to almost 100 million tones eventually and
stayed the biggest quantity until 2002. In contrast, pipeline mode of transport
carried nearly 5 millions tones goods in 1974. Although, similarly with road
transportations, it incresed to 21 millions tones eventually until 2002 and made
a peak in 1995, it was still the least used transport mode.

The million tones of goods that water and rail vehicles transport are almost the
same which is 40 millions tones in 1974. However, while water vehicles were
started to used more by people and reached to 63 millions tones, rail vehicles
ramain the same which is 40 millions tones in 2002.
