POWERPOINT-2007
PowerPoint is a package of Microsoft office which is used to represents the presentation on
slides in the form of text, graphics, audio, and video format to display in attractive way. It is the
combination of slides of a presentation on which user prepare presentation. The extension name of
PowerPoint is (.pptx). It displays full screen information to audience members, meeting attendees. We
can edit easily, incorporate text and image from other documents. It can utilize animation effects and
easily stored, reuse the slides.

Slide: - It is a page where we prepare the presentation. It has various layouts.

Q1. How to open PowerPoint program?


a. Click on start.
b. Click on All Apps.
c. Click on Microsoft office.
d. Click on Microsoft office PowerPoint 2007.

Q1. How to Create or prepare presentation?

a. Open PowerPoint.
b. Write any things on slide as HI-TECH COMPUTER CENTRE
c. Change the design, font, color, effects and so on.
d. Select text and click on animation section.
e. Click on custom animation.
f. Click on add effects.
g. Click on entrance.
h. Select any one of the animation.
i. Click on ok.
j. Click on automatically check box, apply to all and uncheck on mouse click.
k. Press F5 button.

HOME SECTION

Clipboard:-
1. Cut (CTRL+X)
2. Copy(CTRL+C)
3. Format pointer: - It supports to copy the design of text.
a. Select the designed text.
b. Click on home section.
c. Click on format pointer.
d. Now select the other text that you will want design.
4. Paste: - It supports to paste the cut/copied. It has some other options, such as- paste
special, paste as hyperlink, and duplicate.
Slides:-
1. New slide: - This option is used to add the new slide to the presentation.
a. Click on home section.
b. Click on new slide.
c. Click on any one of them.
Q1. How to make duplicate of slide?
a. Click on home tab.
b. Click on new slide.
c. Click on duplicate selected slide.
Q2. How to reuse of slide?
a. Click on home tab.

Layout: - It supports to change the selected slide layout.

Reset: - It is used to reset the selected slide.
Delete: - It supports to delete the selected slide.
Font:-
1. Font :- To set font style.
2. Font size :- To set font size.
3. Increase font size :- To increase font size.
4. Decrease font size :- To decrease font size.
5. Clear all formatting :- To clear the formatting of slide.
6. Bold :- To Bold the selected text.
7. Italic :- To Italic the selected text.
8. Underline :- To Underline the selected text.
9. Strikethrough :- To Strikethrough the selected text.
10. Text shadow :- To shadow on selected text.
11. Character spacing :- To give space between text.
12. Change case :- To change into lowercase, uppercase, sentence case etc.
13. Font color :- To set colour on selected text.

Paragraph:-

1. Bullet :- To add bullet marks for each line.


2. Number :- To add numbering marks for each line.
3. Increase list level :- To increase the level of bullet or numbering Or text left.
4. Decrease list level :-To increase the level of bullet or numbering Or text right.
5. Line spacing :- To set line spacing and add/remove paragraph space.
6. Left :- To set Left alignment.
7. Center :- To set center alignment.
8. Right :- To set right alignment.
9. Justify :- To justify alignment.
10. Columns :- To divide in columns.
11. Text direction :- To set the text direction as per requirement.
12. Align text :- To adjust text as top, middle, bottom.
13. Convert to smart art graphics :- to convert normal text into designed graphics as
Smartcard.

Drawing:-

1. Shapes : - To draw shape on slide.


2. Arrange quick style
: - To arrange the shapes, as front of text, behind of text etc.
3. Shape fill : - To fill the shape with colour, gradient, texture, pictures etc.
4. Shape outline: - To set outline of the shape or picture.
5. Shape effects:- To show the visual effects as rotation, shadow, 3D, reflection
etc.

1. Find :- To find the text on slide.
2. Select :- To select all or individual.
3. Replace :- To replace with other text.

3. Photo album:- It supports to create the album of picture to display with visual effects. We
also set the frame or more then one picture on a slide as per the requirements.

e. Select various pictures.
f. Click on insert button.

h. Press F5 button.

LINK:-

Hyperlink: - This is used to link the selected text with other slide for the presentation. It underline
with green colour hyperlinked text.
a. Select text.
b. Click on insert section.
c. Click on hyperlink option.
d. In the appeared dialog box, select other presentation.
e. Click on open button.
f. Press F5 button.
Note: - Now double click on linked text during slide show.
Action: - It supports to add action on slide to perform the movement from one slide to other during
slide show efficiently.

a. Open presentation as photo album.


b. Click on arrow shape from shape option.
c. Write next, back, last, home, end etc as per requirement on slide.
d. Select text with shape.
e. Click on insert section.
f. Click on action.
g. Click on hyperlink radio button and select next, first, previous, last again and again.
h. Press F5 button,
i. Click on next/home/last/back/end etc.

II method

a. Open a presentation.

TEXT

1. Textbox: - This is used to insert a text box either horizontal or vertical and also provide to add
text inside it.
2. Header and footer: - It supports to insert header and footer in the presentation at the top and
bottom area of slide.
3. Date and time: - It is used to insert date & time in slide header and footer area.
a. Click on insert section.
b. Click on date and time.
c. Again click on date & time check box.
d. Click on apply to all/apply button.
4. Word art: - It is used to insert artistic text in slide for the better presentation.
5. Slide number: - To insert slide number in presentation.
6. Symbol: - To insert the symbol on slide that are not available on keyboard.
a. Click on insert section.
b. Click on symbol.
c. Select any one of the symbol.
d. Click on insert button.
7. Object: - To insert the object on slide either from file or to create new object.
a. Click on insert section.
b. Click on object.
c. Click on bitmap image.
d. Click on ok button.
e. Now draw an image.

MEDIA CLIP:-
1. Movie: - It is used to insert movies/video file on slide for the presentation.
a. Click on insert section.

c. Click on browse from file.
d. Select movie/video.

2. Sound: - It is used to insert sound/audio file on slide for the presentation.
a. Click on insert section.
b. Click on sound.
c. Click on browse from file.
d. Select audio file.

DESIGN SECTION/TAB

PAGE SETUP:
1. Page setup: - This is used to set the page size/slid size for the presentation.
a. Click on design section.
b. Click on page setup.
c. Select slide for as custom.
d. Now increase/ decrease width and height.
e. Click on ok button.
2. Slide orientation: - It is used to set the page layout as either portrait or landscape. Its by
default orientation is landscape.
THEMES:-
1. Themes

BACKGROUND:-
1. Background style: - It supports to set the background of slide with different colors as well
as provide the facility to set picture/gradient/texture as background.
a. Click on design section.
b. Click on background.
c. Click on format background.
d. Click on picture of texture radio button.
e. Click on file button.
f. Select a picture.
g. Click on insert button.
h. Click on apply to all.
i. Click on close button.
2. Hide background graphics: - It supports to hide the background graphics means applied
theme from the slide during slide show.

ANIMATION SECTION/TAB

PREVIEW: - It supports to display the slide show before real presentation but after setting up of the
animation.
ANIMATION:-
1. Animate: - This is used to set the animation to the slide by choosing them.
a. Select slide.
b. Click on animation.
c. Select any one of the animated animation.
2. Custom animation: - It is used to apply/set the animation on created presentation as per the
requirement for the better and attractive as well as to display realistic. It s appears the task pane
at the left side of screen and provide four effects as - entrance, emphasis, exit, motion path.
a. Select a slide or object.
b. Click on animation section.
c. Click on custom animation.
d. In the appeared task pane, click on add effects.
e. Click on entrance/emphasis/exit/motion path.
f. Click on any one of the available or more effects.
g. Select any one of them.
h. Click on ok.

TRANSITION TO THE SLIDE

1. Transition to the slide: - This option is used to set the transition of slide presentation from
one slide to another.
2. Sound: - It is used to set the sound on slide for the audio presentation. It has various sound
as typewriter, shooting, drum roll, clapping etc.

3. Speed: - It supports to set the speed of slide presentation during slide show. It has three
options as slow, medium and fast.
4. Apply to all: - It is used to set the applied animation or effects to all slide.

SLIDE SHOW SECTION

Start slide show:

From beginning (F5):- This is used to display the presentation from the first slide of your
presentation.

a. Open a presentation.
b. Click on slide show section.
c. Click on from beginning.

From current slide (SHIFT+F5):- It supports to display the presentation from the current selected
slide among all.

Custom slide show: - This option is used to display the only required slide for the presentation among
all available slides.

a. Click on slide show tab.


b. Click on custom slide show.
c. Click on custom show.
d. In the appeared dialog box, click on new button.
e. Put slide show name.
f. Select the require slide.
g. Click on add button.
h. Click on show button.

Set up slide show:- This is helpful for the setting up of the slide presentation as loop, with narration
or without narration, pen color slide show option or type etc

a. Open presentation.
b. Click on slide show section.
c. Click on setup slide show.
d. Click on loop or use pen color or show slide or custom slide show etc.
e. Click on ok button.

Hide slide: - It is used to hide the selected slide from the currently opened presentation.

Record narration:- This is helpful for the presentation to set the voice recorded on slide with
presentation but for this we have required microphone.

Rehearse timing: - It supports to set the time on each slide before the real presentations.

a. Open a presentation.
b. Click on rehearse timing.
c. Click on next many times as per our requirements.
d. Click on stop/end of all slides.
e. Click on ok/yes.

Use rehearsed timings: - It is used to display the presentation as per rehearse timing.

Monitors: - It is a standard output device where we display the results of any thing after processing.

Resolution:- It is used to set the resolution of monitor for the presentation.

Show Presentation on: - It is by defaults monitor resolution presentation

Use presentation view: - It is helpful to use the set resolution view. It also used to show the
presentation on other monitors.

Presentation view:-

1. Normal:- It is used to view the slide presentation normal. It is by default presentation view.
2. Slide sorter: - It supports to view the presentation by rearrange them easily.
a. Open presentation.
b. Click on view section.
c. Click on slide sorter.
d. Now drags the slide for arrange.
3. Notes page: - It supports to view and print the slide notes about presentation during printing.
a. Click on view section.
b. Click on notes page.
c. Write note about slide presentation.
d. Click on normal.
e. Click on office button.
f. Click on print and print preview.
g. Select slide notes from print what box.
4. Slide show (F5):- It is use for the slide show of presentation.
5. Slide master: - It is used to open and change the slide layout of the same type. If we change
one slide master then changes made in all respective slide of same layout.
a. Click on view section.

c. Select the any same type of slide master.
d. Now click on insert section.
e. Click on picture.
f. Select a picture and click on insert button.

h. Now press F5 button.
6. Handout master: - It is helpful to open and change of the handout design and layout of printed
handout slide on each as per the requirement.

c. Select header, footer, slide per page, orientation.
d. Apply them.

7. Notes master: - It is used to make any change in the slide note area to the all same type of
slide.

Show / hide:-
Ruler: - To show /hide the ruler from slide.
Gridline: - To display and hide the gridline during printing and work also.
Massage bar: - To show or/ hide the massage bar from presentation.
Zoom: -
Zoom :-( Minimum zoom size - 10% and Maximum zoom size - 400%).
Fit to windows: - It supports to display the presentation slide in windows adjustable.
Color/grayscale:-
Color- It is by default color for the presentation.
Grayscale:- To change the presentation in grayscale with many other color.
Pure black and white: - It is used to change or display the presentation in black and white.
Window:-
New window: - To open or create new window of presentation.
Arrange all: - To arrange the all currently opened presentation on a single screen.
Cascade windows: - It also arranges windows in horizontal.
Move split- It is used to move the presentation.
Switch windows: - To switch from one window to other.
Macros: - It is used to record on slide either on key or name, but it used by using programming
language like visual basic.
