suppliers, government offices, and other institutions.
PARTS OF A BUSINESS LETTER
1. Heading – Includes the sender’s full address. May also include phone number and email
2. Date – Written below the heading.
3. Inside Address – Includes the full name, title, company, and the address of the recipient.
4. Salutation – Formal greeting.
5. Body – The main content of the letter, usually divided into three paragraphs; opening, middle
and closing.
6. Complimentary Close – A polite way to end the letter.
7. Signature – Includes the sender’s handwritten signature.

STYLES AND FORMATS OF BUSINESS LETTERS
1. Block Format – Most widely used. All text is left-aligned with single spacing between lines.
