First/Last Impression- When I started working at my current job the first impression I got of a co

worker was that she was over worked and underpaid, this mostly came from the various
discrepancies in her health that I observed and that she told me about and the constant
underperformance on her part that lead to her getting a lot of writeups. However when she put
in her two week notice she stopped showing up for work when she was scheduled and
constantly took breaks during rush hours and closing time which left a very negative last
impression before she left.

Attribution- For another co worker when I first started at my current job he also seemed to have
personal problems going on and I like to assume that people are not intentionally doing
something wrong. So whenever he didn’t show up for work I assumed he trouble with his car or
sleep. When he avoided certain co workers I assumed he wasn’t a social butterfly, etc. This
changed when he started doing things to me that made my life harder like off loading his work
onto me to go smoke or when he was rude to customers and refusing to help them. So I started
attributing his behavior as being an internal thing that was on him rather then external and him
not being at fault.

For both of these I would say these impression methods hindered my ability to make an
accurate impression at first as only with time and getting to know my co workers did I get an
accurate impression.
