AGENDA: Question of Peace and Regional Security

Introductory Clauses:
-Recalling the principles enshrined in the UN Charter regarding the sovereign equality of all
member states,

-Recognizing the evolving geopolitical realities and the urgent need to modernize the UNSC to
llensure equitable global representation,

-Alarmed by the ongoing threats of cross-border terrorism, state-sponsored extremism, cyber


warfare, and unilateral military actions,

-Acknowledging the historic and ongoing contributions of nations such as India to UN


peacekeeping and international peace efforts,

-Emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, gender equity, and fair regional participation in
global decision-making,

Actionable clause

The United Nations Security Council,

1) Condemna all acts of targeting civilians, forced deportations, and illegal referendurms in
occupied territories as violations of international law

2)Encourages member states, particularly those in regions vulnerable to radicalization and


violent extremism, to partner with the hedayah centre for excellence in countering violent
extremism

3) Calls upon all parties to respect sovereignty and territorial integrity, promotes dialogue and
coperate fully to restore and maintain regional peace and security in accordance with
international land,

4) Encourages the establishment of UN-coordinated Regional Rapid Response Peacekeeping


Units to efficiently de-escalate emerging conflicts with cultural and situational awareness;

5) Recommends that targeted sanctions be imposed on entities, state or non-state, found guilty
of violating international peace, provided humanitarian channels remain open and protected;
6) Reaffirms the inviolability of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-intervention in internal
affairs as essential pillars of global peace and trust among nations.
