DESIGN RATIONALE – WQTV: A FUTURISTIC YOUTUBE REDESIGN

The redesigned interface, WQTV, reimagines YouTube as a futuris c, immersive video pla orm
that resolves major usability and visual design challenges including clu ered layouts, weak
hierarchy, and limited personaliza on. The goal was to create a seamless balance between
modern aesthe cs and intui ve func onality, offering users a more focused, personalized, and
enjoyable viewing experience.

Guided by essen al UI/UX principles such as contrast, alignment, consistency, and proximity,
the interface adopts a dark neon aesthe c enhanced with glowing orange and red accents. This
visual contrast improves readability and engagement, while consistent iconography and
typography establish a unified iden ty across screens. Clear alignment and structured spacing
enhance organiza on and naviga on efficiency.

Each page from the Home Screen and Video Watch Page to the Search, Channel, and Upload
Dashboard is designed to minimize cogni ve load and maximize interac vity. Smart
recommenda ons, collapsible sidebars, and immersive video playback create a fluid and
futuris c experience.

Overall, WQTV transforms YouTube into a next-genera on pla orm that merges innova on,
simplicity, and visual depth to redefine how users discover and interact with video content
