Course Objectives:

 Develop core life skills for personal growth, emotional balance, and social
interaction.
 Instil strong ethical values and professional integrity.
 Encourage mindfulness, empathy, and resilience.
 Promote socially responsible and value-based behaviour in all aspects of
life.

Course Outcomes:

 Identify and apply essential life skills such as decision-making, critical


thinking, and stress management.
 Demonstrate mindfulness and emotional intelligence in daily life.
 Exhibit ethical decision-making and professional conduct.
 Communicate effectively and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships.
 Recognize the importance of values, social responsibility, and civic

Detailed Syllabus:
Module 1: Introduction to Life Skills

1.1 Concept and significance of life skills


1.2 Types of life skills – thinking, social, emotional, and practical skills
1.3 WHO’s 10 Core Life Skills framework
1.4 Relationship between life skills, employability, and success
1.5 Self-assessment of personal strengths and weaknesses

Learning Outcome:

Students will gain awareness about key life skills and understand how these skills
help them succeed in studies, relationships, and future jobs.

Module 2: Self-Awareness and Mindfulness

2.1 Understanding the self: personality, emotions, and attitudes


2.2 Building self-esteem and confidence
2.3 Stress and anger management techniques
2.4 Introduction to mindfulness and meditation practices
2.5 Emotional intelligence – recognizing and managing emotions
