Teaching Learning Process

(Processes may include adherence to the academic calendar and

improving instruction methods using pedagogical initiatives such as real-
world examples, collaborative learning, quality of laboratory experience
about conducting experiments, recording observations, analysis of data,
etc. encouraging bright students, assisting weak students, etc. The
implementation details and impact analysis need to be documented).

The Teaching and Learning process includes the following steps: -

 Preparation of academic calendar and activity chart

 Allocation of subjects to faculty members and preparation of

timetable

 Preparation of lecture plan and course file

 Delivery of content and pedagogical initiatives

 Continuous assessment and result analysis

 Identification of weak and bright students

 Action for supporting weak students and motivating bright students.

Adherence to academic calendar

Regarding the commencement of class work for each academic year

university sends the academic calendar which includes the following:

1. Beginning date and end date of the current academic

semester/year.
2. Number of weeks for the conductance of class work for
semester/year.
3. Dates and duration for the conductance of mid/external
examinations (Tentative)
4. Dates and duration for the conductance of practical
examinations.
5. Holidays are observed as per state government calendar.
As per the university calendar the department schedules the academic
calendar to be observed in the current semester/year. The content deliveries
of theory and lab classes are well planned and implemented. The best
practices in curricular aspects are as follows.

Course outlines and course schedules are prepared for every subject and
handed over to the students as ‘Teaching Plan’ by every faculty member
before commencement of the semester.
After every class, the faculty has to write the date on which the particular
topic is taught in the on-line attendance system which is recorded for review.

Course plan is prepared and posted in the website at the beginning of every
semester by each course faculty.

Micro lecture plan viz., fort night schedule is placed in the notice board for
every 15 days with deviations if any, for further efficiency in the system

Notes on lessons, assignment questions, tutorial questions are prepared and

disseminated in the website.

Academic plan for the semester is framed in such a way that students can
plan training, mini projects and their vacation

The timetable is framed in such a way that it provides necessary hours for
library, seminar, assignment and value addition programs in addition to the
regular theory and lab hours

Once in 15 days, the HOD verifies the coverage of portions against the
original plan and counsel the faculty member if he/she is slow or fast. By the
end of each Semester, the teaching plan and course coverage along with the
course file are submitted for external audit

External & Internal academic audits are conducted periodically to improve

the quality of education offered and the Audit report reveals the completion
of syllabus as per the teaching plan submitted by the subject teacher

Tutorial hours and assignment hours are assigned for all subjects, to ensure
that the students learn the subjects regularly.

The successful delivery of the content is primarily based on the expertise of

the concerned subject faculty. The time table is prepared and given well in
advance allowing time for the faculty for the preparation of lessons plan,
notes on lesson, for theory and labs. Regular cycle tests are conducted for
the students and retests (makeup tests) for the absentees and slow learners
are conducted.

ECLATZ CLUB conducts Paper presentations, Group discussion, etc.

Extra Classes are taken for academically weak students before writing the
University examinations.
