Tips for verbal reasoning:
Read the question first – don’t try to ready the whole passage – find the key words- then answer it
Find key information – eg . statistic, date, country, time etc.
Don’t be scared to used the cant tell button – it may be the answer
Look out for :
extreme words – eg. – always, definitely, never
Mild word – eg – sometimes, might, could
Check the language used in questions and in the passage – may use diff words to catch you out
Specifically for VR – time manage – only 30 secs to answer each questions – use your time wisely
Either flag your ques or guess
Don’t check the question a million times
Don’t use outside knowledge – eg . the question may say is the sky blue – from your knowledge it is
true but in the passage it may have not mentioned the colour of the sky or given another colour – in
this case the statement is false.
The only reason why you put true option in the VR section if the passage mentions it
