2017 TABLE CHART ANSWER
The above table shows where 125 students in my school like to study after their A/L Examination. Those countries are
America, England, Japan, India, Russia, Australia, and other countries.

According to the details given in the table, the most of the students like to study in America while the least number of
students like to study in the other countries. The number of students who like to study in America is 30 and that is 24%.
An equal number of students like to study in India and Russia and that is 10 of students and in percentage that is 8%.
Some of students like to study in England and Japan that are 28 students and 25 students. 12% of students like to study
in Australia too.

Above table indicates that the majority of students like to study in the developed countries.

( The number of students who like to study in Japan is higher that the number of students who like to study in Australia.)

2014 TABLE CHART ANSWER


The above table shows the amount of money spent during the year 2013 and 2014 by the Friendship Club of Horana,
on various social activities. The club has spent money on six projects.

According to the details given in the table, the most amount of money has been spent on funding elders’ homes. It is
3 million rupees in 2013 and 4 million rupees in 2014. The least amount of money has been spent on providing tube
wells to dry zone schools in both years. The club spent an equal amount of money on disaster relief and donating wheel
chairs to rural hospitals in both years. The club has increased the amount of money spent on four activities and
decreased on one activity.

According to the given details, the club has spent 11 million in 2013 and 14 million in 2014.

2011 PIE CHART ANSWER


The above pie chart shows the percentages of students using different modes of transport to and from school. Those
modes are bus, school van, train, motor bike, car, on foot, and cycle.

According to the details given in the pie chart, the majority of the students use bus as the mode of transport and that
is the most popular way. It is 35%. The lowest percentage of the students come to school on foot and it is 2%. That is
the minority. 25% of the students come to school by school van and 20% of the students come to school by train. 10%
of the students use cycle as a mode of transport. The car is used by only 3% of the students.

( The number of students who use school van is higher than the number of students who use train.)

According to the pie chart, the mostly used mode of transport is bus.

2012 BAR GRAPH ANSWER

The above bar chart shows the after school activities of Grade 11 students of my school. Those activities are sports,
read books, visit friends, gardening, and watch T.V.

Most of the students visit friends after school. That is the most popular activity among the students and it 31% of the
students. The least popular activity among the students is gardening and it is 10%. 20% of the students do reading
books and 24% of the students do watching T.V. 15% of the students do sports after school. The number of students
who like to do sports is lower than the number of students who like to read books.

According to the given chart the minimum number of students do gardening while the maximum number of students
visit friends.

2013 PIE CHART ANSWER


The above pie chart shows what the students of my school like to read. Those reading materials are novels, short
stories, poetry, cartoons, magazines, and newspapers.

The majority of the students like to read newspapers. That is 30% and that is the highest percentage. The minority of
the students like to read cartoons. That is 5% and that is the lowest percentage. An equal percentage of students like
to read poetry and magazines and that is 10% of the students. 25% of students prefer to read novels while 20% of the
students prefer to read short stories.

However, all of these students seem to enjoy reading.

2015 BAR CHART ANSWER


The above bar chart shows the sale of five different items available at out school bookshop. Those items are ball point
pens, story books, pencil boxes, colouring pencils, and exercise books. The horizontal axis shows the items and the
vertical axis shows the number of units sold.

According to the chart, the exercise books have the highest sale amount. It is 60%. That is the maximum number. Pencil
boxes have the lowest number of sale. That is 20. That is the minimum number. The amount of sale of ball point pens
and colouring pencils is equal. The amount of sale of story books is lower than the amount of exercise books but it is
higher than the other items.

2016 BAR CHART ANSWER


The above bar chart shows the leisure activities of some students of the Southern Province. Those activities are chess,
tennis, swimming, and cycling. The horizontal axis shows the leisure activities and the vertical axis shows the
percentage.

According to the chart, the most popular activity is swimming for both girls and boys. It is about 90%. That is the highest
percentage. Those two percentages are almost equal. The least percentage of boys like to play tennis while the least
percentage of girls like to play chess. The percentage of boys who like to do cycling is higher than the percentage of
girls. However, cycling is less popular among the girls than the boys. The number of girls who like to play tennis is higher
than boys.

According to the bar chart, both girls and boys enjoy swimming.
