Subject: What’s new?

Hi! How are you?


The last time you wrote, you told me that you had just moved to a new town. Have you made any new
friends in your new school? Have you joined any good school clubs?
Life here is the same as usual. I’m studying hard at the moment because I want to do well in the
exams. Then I’m going to start my summer job! I’m really excited because I’ve never worked before.

Please write soon and tell me all your news!

Hi James,
Haven’t talked to you in ages. How are things going for you?
I have made a new friend. He’s very nice, we started talking because he helped me to
take in the lessons I had difficulties with. And we joined the theatre club together, but
the rehearsals start next week, so we’re both tense and ecstatic about it!
BTW, I’m going to travel to Mar del Plata on holiday. It’s a city here in Argentina where
you have a lot of beaches to visit. You like going to the beach, don’t you? But I’m
worried sick about the fact that I don’t know which outfits I should choose to use on
my trip.

Great news about you getting your summer job! I bet you’re very thrilled about it. I
wish you good luck with everything, especially in your exams, but I’m pretty sure
you’ll do great. Let me know how it goes.
Also, have you talked with Gabriella again? You told me that the last time you saw her,
you had enough courage to strike up a conversation with her paying her a
compliment. If you haven’t yet, what are you waiting for?
