HOW TO USE DATA ENTRY
 Once a command has been entered, in many
instances AutoCAD requires additional input. The
input may be in the form of coordinates, numeric
value, displacements, modifiers or file name. The
following are four methods in which data may be
entered:
 Absolute Coordinate
 Relative Coordinate
 Polar Coordinate
 Direct Entry
ABSOLUTE COORDINATE
 A point can be specified by typing the X,Y coordinates.
 Example

Command : Line
From point : 0,0
To point : 2,0
To point : 2,2
To point : 0,2
To point : 0,0 @ c
RELATIVE COORDINATE
 A point can be specified as the distance from the last
coordinate entered. Type @ prior to the X and Y distances.
@ means with reference to the last point.
 Format : @ X distance,Y distance
 Example :

Command : Line
From point : 0,0
To point : @2,0
To point : @0,2
To point : @-2,0
To point : @0,-2
POLAR COORDINATE
 A point may be specified as the distance and the angle from
the last coordinate (point) entered.
 Format :
@ distance < angle
DIRECT ENTRY
 DYNAMIC INPUT
