1 QUICK ACCESS TOOLBAR
The Quick Access Toolbar lets you
access common commands no matter
which tab is selected. By default, the
buttons are Save, Undo and Redo. You
can also customize the commands
depending on your preference.

2 RIBBON
The Ribbon contains all the commands
you will need to perform common tasks
in PowerPoint. It has multiple tabs,
eight (8) to be exact, each with several
groups of commands. Home, Insert,
Design, Transitions, Animations, Slide
Show, Review and View.

3 SLIDE NAVIGATION PANE
The slide navigation pane allows you
to view and organize the slides in your
presentation.

4 SLIDE NUMBER INDICATOR
Here, you can quickly see the total
number of slides in your presentation,
as well as which slide you are viewing.

5 RULER
The Ruler is located at the top and to
the left of your current slide. It makes it
easy to align text and objects on your
slide.

6 SLIDE PANE
Here, you can view and edit selected
slide.

7 NOTES
Often called speaker notes. They can
help you deliver or prepare for your
presentation.

8 COMMENTS
Viewers can leave this on any slide.
Click this to view and write comments
for the current slide.

9 SLIDE VIEW OPTIONS
There are four ways to view this:
Normal View, Slide Sorter View,
Reading View and Slide Show

10 ZOOM CONTROL
This is used to minimize and maximize
the size of the slide pane. The number
to the right of the slider reflects the
zoom percentage.

11 SCROLL BARS
There are 2 types of scroll bars:
Horizontal and Vertical. Scroll bars
allow you to scroll up and down or
side to side. To do this, click and drag
the vertical or horizontal scroll bar.

12 TELL ME
The Tell me box works like a search
bar to help you quickly find tools or
commands you want to use.

13 MICROSOFT ACCOUNT
From here, you can access your
Microsoft account information, view
your profile, and switch accounts.
