ABOUT
RC Rallycross is a competitive motorsport event featuring radio
controlled (RC) cars racing on a specially designed off-road track. It
combines elements of rally racing and motocross,
with cars navigating dirt tracks, jumps, hairpin turns, and rough
terrain.. The cars are specially designed and tuned to handle the
diverse terrain. Races consists of many cars competing in high
radiating heats and making it the place where speed meets skill
and where every jump counts.
RC CAR SPECIFICATIONS
The car should be custom made with generic parts. Ready to assemble and
drive RC cars are NOT permitted to contest in the event.
Total allowable dimensions of the car are:
Width: 15 cm
Length:25 cm
Maximum allowable weight of the car is 3 kg.
Small nitro IC Engines are not permitted, the car must be powered electrically
using motors and a battery. It is advisable that the contestants use batteries
that can easily power the car for the entire event.
RC CAR SPECIFICATIONS
Charging of car mid race is not permissible.
The range of receiver and transmitter should sufficient as per recommend
distance.
Recommended distance would be 60 meters.
Use of FPV is advised but not necessary. Person operating is not allowed to
run along with car. The organizers will provide sufficiently best vision for the
operator. But still if driver is not confident then use of FPV is allowed.
The car’s build should sustain rocky terrains.
Breakdown mid race leads to disqualification.
EVENT STRUCTURE
This event consists of two rounds.
Event 1: Rallycross (Obstacle Time Trial)
Objective: Navigate a challenging, obstacle-filled track in the shortest possible time.
Format:
• Each team is given two timed runs.
• Only one lap is timed per attempt.
• Best of the two lap times will be considered for ranking.
• Obstacles may include: ramps, gravel patches, hairpin bends, chicanes, and
elevation changes.
Rules:
• If the car overturns or fails to complete the lap, the attempt is discarded.
• No additional attempts will be provided for any reason.
• Drivers must remain at the designated control zone (no following the car).
• FPV usage is allowed and encouraged for better visibility but not mandatory.
EVENT STRUCTURE
Event 2: Grand Prix (Flat Track Race)
Objective: Race on the same track used in Rallycross, but with new routes and
obstacles, emphasizing handling and speed.
Format:
• Participants will race in heats or time trials (depending on number of entries).
• Top lap times or positions determine the ranking.
• May be a single lap or multiple laps (e.g., 3-lap sprint) based on final participation
count.
Rules:
• If a car overturns, stalls or gets knocked down ,marshals will assist and place it
back on track at the earliest.
• Participants must stay off the track and avoid interfering.
• Final placements based on time or finishing order (to be clarified before the race).
ELIGIBILITY
Students studying in any educational institutes with valid ID Proofs.
FINAL SCORING AND WINNER
DECLARATION
Overall score is the combination of results from both events.
Either points-based system (e.g., 10-8-6 for 1st-3rd) or total time ranking will be
used.
Ties will be resolved based on Rallycross time (as it is more technical).
