Modifier

Primarily two Types


1. Pre-modifier.
2. Post-modifier.
Adjective as Modifier
This is a beautiful country.
The red car sped by.
Participle as Modifier
1. Present Participle (Verb+ ing) breaking
2. Past Participle (v3) broken
Participle Present Participle
Verb+ ing ; work as adjective
I saw a flying bird.
It was a talking doll.
Past Participle

• v3/ V.P.P
I saw some broken glasses on the floor.
Tired from the long journey, the children fell asleep immediately.
Broken by the strong wind, the old tree lay across the road.
Noun Noun Adjective as Modifier
I am going to visit the book fair.
I have enjoyed the cricket match.
Determiner as Modifier

1. Article (a, an, the)

3. Distributive (Each, Every, Either, Neither)
4. Demonstrative (This, That, these, those)
