ITEM ONE; An experiment was set up to determine empirical formula of magnesium oxide.

A
magnesium coil was weighed, then heated strongly in a crucible . After the magnesium had all Burt , it
was allowed to cool , then weighed. The following results were obtained.

Mass of crucible = 51.6g

Mass of crucible+ magnesium coil = 56.4g

Mass of crucible+ magnesium oxide= 62.7g

TASK; find the empirical formula of magnesium oxide ( Mg = 24 , O = 16 )

ITEM TWO

Mr kavule a farmer in masindi has a big farm of banana [Link] has noticed that many of
them are ripening and get spoilt without being used. His neighbor advised him to start making alcohol
(ethanol) but he lacks a clear knowledge about the process and his bananas have continued to get spoilt
and this is making Mr kavule to make more and more loses. He has contacted you for help .

Task; Write a piece of information explaining about the neighbor's advise so that Mr kavule can solve
the problem in the above scenario.( Include procedures and equations where necessary)
