INTERNET USAGE IN UGANDA

Internet, sometimes called simply "the Net," is a worldwide system of computer networks - a
network of networks in which users at any one computer can, if they have permission, get
information from any other computer.

In Uganda, internet connectivity is increasing at a high speed with a number of internet service
providers (ISP) getting involved supplying connections to the internet usually for a monthly fee.

The common Internet Service Provider(ISP) in Uganda include Mobile Telecommunications


Network (MTN), Airtel, Africell , Smile, Vodafone, Infocom ,Uganda Telecommunications
Network. (UTL)
However according to the ministry of ICT, information shows the number of customers every ISP
is having in the country.
