The Huawei Certified ICT Professional Datacom - Advanced Routing &
Switching Technology course is a comprehensive training program designed
for network professionals seeking in-depth knowledge and skills in
advanced routing and switching technologies. It covers a broad spectrum of
topics, from Advanced IGP Features such as OSPF and IS-IS optimisations,
to Advanced BGP Features including route control and BGP RRs
networking. Learners will also delve into IPv6
Routing configurations, Advanced Ethernet Technologies for improved VLAN
management and security, and MPLS Technology for understanding MPLS
principles, VPNs, and their deployment. Essential skills in Network
O&M and Troubleshooting are taught to ensure efficient network
maintenance and problem-solving.
The course concludes with Network Migration tactics, preparing learners for
seamless transitions in network infrastructure. This course will empower
participants with the expertise needed to design, implement, and manage
complex datacom networks, thus enhancing their professional capabilities
and job opportunities in the networking field.
Audience Profile
• Engineers who want to become senior Data Communication
engineers.
• Engineers who want to obtain the HCIP-Datacom-Advanced Routing &
Switching Technology Certification.
Prerequisite
To ensure that you gain the maximum benefit from the HCIP-Datacom-
Advanced Routing & Switching Technology course, it is recommended that
you meet the following prerequisites:
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts, including the OSI
model, TCP/IP protocol suite, and common networking devices such
as routers and switches.
• Familiarity with basic routing and switching technologies, including an
understanding of VLANs, STP, and Ethernet technologies.
• Knowledge of basic routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and EIGRP,
as well as the fundamentals of IP addressing and subnetting.
• Prior experience with or understanding of the BGP protocol and its
basic operation in a network.
• Basic knowledge of IPv6 addressing, configuration, and the
differences between IPv6 and IPv4.
• If you have previously completed the HCIA (Huawei Certified ICT
Associate) or equivalent certification, it will be beneficial but not
mandatory.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot network issues.
• Motivation to learn advanced concepts in routing, switching, and
network technologies.
Please note that these prerequisites are meant to provide a foundation
upon which the HCIP-Datacom course will build. They are not intended to
discourage any learner who is eager to advance their skills. If you have
gaps in some of these areas, consider taking foundational courses or self-
study to prepare for the HCIP-Datacom-Advanced Routing & Switching
Technology course.
