INTRODUCTION

Commentator: Good morning and Mabuhay! Blessed be

God forever!

Today is Wednesday of the Second Week of

Easter.

Today’s Gospel tells us that we are only given

the opportunity to be saved if we truly desire
it. It urges us to be honest with ourselves, to
others, and to the Lord in order to accomplish
this. The Gospel today also necessitates
following the Lord's instructions and how
much it is important to grow your faith in
Jesus.

In this Eucharist Celebration, let us open our

hearts and minds to receive the gift of the
Holy Spirit and make it effective through
deeds and action.

Together, let us welcome our mass presider

Rev. Fr. Eymard Mark Ma. Gayotin from the
Marian Missionaries of the Holy Cross. Let us
all rise and join the choir in singing the
entrance hymn.

Entrance Hymn: Table of Plenty

I. INTRODUCTORY RITES

Celebrant: In the name of the Father, and of the

Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Siena College, Inc.
Quezon City

People: Amen.

Celebrant: Peace be with you.

People: And with your Spirit.

Celebrant: Brethren, let us acknowledge our sins, and so

prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred
mysteries.

I Confess…

People: to almighty God and to you, my brothers and

sisters, that I have greatly sinned, in my
thoughts and in my words, in what I have
done and in what I have failed to do, through
my fault, through my fault, through my most
grievous fault; therefore, I ask blessed Mary
ever Virgin, all the angels and saints, and
you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me
to the Lord our God.

Celebrant: May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive

us our sins and bring us to everlasting life.

People: Amen .

Kyrie: Lord, Have Mercy (Dan Schutte)

Celebrant: Glory to God in the highest

Glory to God in the Highest (Dan

Schutte)

Celebrant: Let us pray.

Grant, we pray, almighty and merciful God,
that the Holy Spirit, coming near and dwelling
graciously within us, may make of us a
perfect temple of his glory. Through our Lord
Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns
with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one
God, for ever and ever.
People: Amen.

II. LITURGY OF THE WORD

Siena College, Inc.
Quezon City

Commentator: Please be seated for the Liturgy of the Word.

FIRST READING: Isaiah 42: 1–3

Lector: A reading from the book of the Prophet

Isaiah

The Lord says this: ‘Here is my servant whom

I uphold, my chosen one in whom my soul
delights. I have endowed him with my spirit
that he may bring true justice to the nations.
He does not cry out or shout aloud, or make
his voice heard in the streets. He does not
break the crushed reed, nor quench the
wavering flame. Faithfully he brings true
justice.
The Word of the Lord.

People: Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM (sung)

Cantors: Lord, send out You Spirit

SECOND READING: ACTS 10: 1. 33–34. 37–44

One of the centurions of the Italica cohort

stationed in
Caesarea was called Cornelius. He said to
Peter. “I sent for you at once, and you have
been kind enough to come. Here we all are,
assembled in front of you to hear what
message God has given you for us.” Then
Peter addressed them: “You must have heard
about the recent happenings in Judaea; about
Jesus of Nazareth and how he began in
Galilee, after John had been preaching
baptism. God had anointed him with the Holy
Spirit and with power, and because God was
with him, Jesus went about doing good and
curing all who had fallen into the power of the
devil. Now I, and those with me, can witness
to everything he did throughout the
countryside of Judaea and in Jerusalem itself:
and also to the fact that they killed him by
hanging him on a tree, yet three days
afterwards God raised him to life and allowed
him to be seen, not by the whole people but

only by certain witnesses God had chosen

beforehand. Now we are those witnesses –
we have eaten and drunk with him after his
resurrection from the dead – and he has
ordered us to proclaim this to his people and
to tell them that God has appointed him to
judge everyone, alive or dead. It is to him
that all the prophets bear this witness: that
all who believe in Jesus will have their sins
forgiven through his name.’
The Word of the Lord.

People: Thanks be to God.

Commentator: Please all rise to honor the holy Gospel.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION: Thy Word (sung)

Celebrant: The Lord be with you.

People: And with your Spirit.

Celebrant: A reading from the holy Gospel according St.

John.
John 14: 23–26
People: Glory to you, O Lord.

Celebrant:
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘If anyone
loves me he will keep my word, and my
Father will love him, and we shall come to
him and make our home with him. Those who
do not love me do not keep my words. And
my word is not my own; it is the word of the
one who sent me. I have said these things to
you while still with you; but the Advocate, the
Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my
name, will teach you everything and remind
you of all I have said to you.’
The Gospel of the Lord.

People: Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Commentator: Please be seated.

gather a people to yourself, so that from

the rising of the sun to its setting
a pure sacrifice may be offered to your
name.
(He joins his hands and, holding them
outstretched over the offering, says:)

Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore

you:
by the same Spirit graciously make holy
these gifts we have brought to you for
consecration,
(He joins his hands and, making the Sign of
the Cross once over the bread and chalice,
says:)

that they may become the Body and

Blood of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
at whose command we celebrate this
Eucharist.
(He joins his hands)

For the night he was betrayed,

(He takes the bread and, holding it slightly

raise above the altar, continues:)

He himself took bread,

and giving you thanks he said the
blessing, broke the bread and gave it to
his disciples, saying:
(He bows slightly)

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,

FOR THIS IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL BE
GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
(He shows the consecrated host to the
people, places it again on the paten, and
genuflects in adoration.)

Look, we pray, upon the oblation of your

your children scattered throughout the
world.

† To our departed brothers and sisters

and to all who were pleasing to you at
their passing from this life, give kind
admittance to your kingdom. There we
hope to enjoy for ever the fullness of
your glory
