REFLECTION PAPER

Self-concept

Self-concept is how you see and understand yourself. It’s your own picture of who
you are, including your personality, strengths, weaknesses, and how you think others
see you. It’s what you believe about your abilities, your values, and the kind of person
you think you are, like whether you see yourself as confident or shy, smart or creative.

My life can be pretty hectic. I go to school during the day, then I work in the
evenings. Sometimes it feels like I have too much on my life, and I often wonder how I
can keep up with everything. Balancing schoolwork and my job were tough. I often had
to rush from school to work, and then I would come home tired and still have homework
to do. There were nights when I stayed up late trying to finish my assignments, which
made me feel even more tired the next day. It felt like I was in a never-ending cycle of
studying and working, and I started to doubt if I could handle it all.

I learned that I needed to manage my time better. Time management really helped
me what I needed to do each day, and it made things feel less overwhelming. I also
learned to prioritize my tasks. I realized that some homework assignments were due
sooner than others, so I would focus on those first. This way, I felt more organized and
less stressed. Another lesson I learned is that asking for help is okay. When I felt
difficulty with schoolwork, I would ask my friends to make me understand better. At
work, I would ask my coworkers for tips on how to handle busy shifts. I found that my
friends were willing to help me specially in school works and it made me feel less alone
in my struggles.

Despite the challenges, I also discovered the importance of self-care. I realized

that if I didn’t take care of myself, I wouldn’t be able to do my best in school or at work. I
started to make time for things I enjoyed, like playing video games or hanging out with
friends, even if it was just for a little while. This helped me recharge and feel happier.
Balancing school and work have taught me a lot about responsibility and time
management. It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned to take things one step at a time. I’m
proud of myself for managing my responsibilities, and I know that each experience
helps me grow. I believe that these challenges will make me stronger in the long run.

To turn my negative qualities of studying and working too much into strengths, I
will start by finding a better balance. I can make a schedule that shows when I will study
and when I will work, so I don’t feel overwhelmed. I’ll set small goals for myself, like
studying for just 20 minutes at a time and then taking a short break. This way, I won’t
get too tired, and I can focus better. I also want to remember to have fun and take
breaks, like playing outside or hanging out with friends, so I don’t get stressed. By
organizing my time and making sure I take breaks, I can feel happier and more
confident about studying and working hard.
