Homework: The line graph below shows changes in the amount and type of fast food
consumed by Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000.
The given line graph shows the fast food consumption of Australian teenagers in three types,
namely pizza, fish and chips, and hamburgers between 1975 and 2000. Overall, pizza and
hamburgers registered an uptrend, albeit to varing extents, with the usage of hamburgers
seeing the most significant rise. In contrast, the data for fish and chips recorded a downtrend.
Regarding the largest figures, the number of times pizza and hamburgers were eaten started
at 5 and 10 times each year, in the given order, after which they both experienced an upward
trend until 1985. From this year, the former saw a more significant rise than the latter.
Additionally, the figure for pizza stood at around 85 times and levelled off toward the period’s
end, compared to that for hamburgers, which reached a high of 100 times and witnessed a
marginal increase until the end.
Moving onto fish and chips, which was intitially the most consumption fast food then recorded
a downswing in 1980, after which, it continued rising, stood at rougly 90 times in 1985. From
this point onwards, fish and chips witnessed a gradually drop, making it became the less
consumption junk food in 2000.
