Highlight the adjectives and underline the quanti ers in the conversation below.
A: Hi, I’m new to Dalian, and I don’t know the city very well. I was wondering if you could
help me nd a few places?
B: Sure! Welcome to Dalian. Where do you want to go?
A: I want to go to Labour Park. How can I get there from here?
B: Go out to the main road, turn left, cross the road at the tra c light, and you should
see a bus stop. Take the 406 bus to/until Xiwang Square Stop. You should be able to
see the park entrance there.
A: Great! I heard that there’s an amusement park there. Do you know where it is?
B: Yes, it’s in the southeast of the park.
A: Are there any other attractions nearby I can visit?
B: There is a gondola very close to the amusement park. You can take it up a small hill,
then slide down on a special slide. It’s special because you can control the speed of
the car/sled you ride on.
A: Okay, I’ll de nitely check it out! By the way, if I want to shop for some souvenirs,
where should I go?
B: There is a shopping mall called Mycal opposite the park. You can nd some souvenirs
there. Also, behind Mycal is Newmart; there, you can buy some dried seafood
products.
A: That’s very helpful, thank you. Finally, can you recommend me a place to eat? I’ll like
to try some local Dalian cuisine.
B: It’s a bit far from Labour Park, but Yuhua Seafood Market is a famous place in Dalian.
You can try steamed sea cucumbers and crabs here. These are Dalian specialties.
A: You’ve been so kind and helpful, thank you very much!
B: You’re welcome. No problem/worries at all! Hope you have fun in Dalian!
