Job description
We are currently looking for a talented sr. Software engineer to lead the team dedicated to
our ai drive through agent. The core responsibility of this team is to accelerate the pace of
stable and predictable development and release of the ai drive through solution. The team
will also work on business logic, network clients, log telemetry, debugging tools, and
robustification of an application that will reach 10s of millions of customers per day.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a small engineering team and a
passion for building high-performing teams. In addition, the ideal candidate should be
technically strong and able to provide technical expertise and coaching to their team
members.
Responsibilities:
• Own core ai applications and related tooling, focusing on the system's integration,
configuration, lifecycle, and event loops
• Continuously improve class hierarchies and business logic to be modular, testable,
and robust to accelerating change
• Own the totality of code on the repo and involved in ongoing initiatives to keep all
tests passing
• Solve core design and stability issues across the stack
• Collaborate with the director of product engineering to maintain the cannon of “best
practices” including the policy judgements made around code style, documentation
conventions, calling patterns, and library use
• Educate the engineering teams on standard methodologies, and where possible
automate enforcement and migrate existing code to ensure compliance
• Recruit, develop, and coach small team of engineers
Qualifications
• Bs degree in computer science, similar technical field, or equivalent experience
• Quick learner and ability to quickly contribute to the team
• 5+ years of experience in linux environments with expert understanding of linux
processes.
• 3+ years of professional experience in bash shell scripting
• 5+ years of professional experience in python
• 3+ years of professional experience writing network service clients
• Previous experience leading a small team of engineers
Desired qualifications
• Experience with rpc development
• C++ / python ffi development
