Opening (Nurul):
Hello jobseekers! As a gen z, I realized that job interview can be one of biggest nightmares and
sound really scary for us, right? But don’t worry about that, I finally found the solution for you!
In this video, my friends and I will share you some simple tips on how to answer common job
interview questions in English.
Scene 1 (Cristian):
First, when the interviewer says, “Tell me about yourself,” don’t just repeat your CV.
You can say something like,
“Hello, my name is Cristian, I’m an English Literature student, and I love working in creative
environments where I can learn new things.” Remember to smile and make eye contact with the
interviewer as well!
Scene 2 (Nafisa):
Next, when they ask, “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”
Be honest but provide smart answers.
For example,
“One of my strengths is communication. I enjoy working with people.”
“As for my weakness, sometimes I’m too detail-oriented, but it helps me stay organized.” Don’t
just tell your weakness, but show them how to overcome it.
Scene 3 (Nurul):
And when they ask, “Why should we hire you?”
Show confidence and enthusiasm.
You can say,
“Because I’m passionate about learning and always ready to contribute to the team.”
Scene 4 (Nafisa):
If they ask, “Where do you see yourself in the next five years?”
You have to answer with dedication,
“In five years, I see myself growing professionally in a dynamic company where I can keep
learning and improving my skills.”
Closing (Cristian):
So, those are some examples of how to answer job interview questions in English.
Remember to be confident, practice and prepare your answers, and don’t forget to smile!
Good luck with your interview, jobseekers!
