Printing
🖨
To print your pattern, click on the printer icon ( ) or go to File > Print.
In the print settings window, make sure to select the following options:
• In the section « Pages to print » : Pages 1
• In the section «Size and Page Handling » : Actual Size
• On a MAC : « choose paper source by PDF page size ».
The PDF format is intentionally slightly smaller for each size option.
In the preview, ensure the cutting rectangle is properly centred, then select your preferred print format:
A4, A3, or US Letter.
These settings allow you to print only the first page. Now, check the test square to ensure it measures the
correct size. Are your prints misaligned? To achieve the best printing results, make sure the paper is
properly loaded in your printer. This helps prevent misalignment when the printer feeds the sheets.
Print the pattern in your size only. Our PDF catalogue has been updated, and all our patterns now include
size layers.
To print only the pattern layer corresponding to your size, you must first download and install the free
Adobe Acrobat Reader software on your computer.
Open the PDF file you want to print using Adobe Acrobat Reader:
Click on the « Layers » tab, represented by the following icon:
You will then see all the layers available in your file. By default, all sizes are displayed on your pattern.
To display only your desired size, uncheck all other sizes by clicking on the icon ( )
For example, on the Hussard trousers PDF pattern, if you want to print size 40, you need to uncheck all
other sizes: 34, 36, 38, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, and 52. This will leave only the size 40 lines visible, resulting in
the following display:
Make sure you keep the « LEGEND» layer visible, as it includes essential information such as: piece labels,
grainline markings, common elements for all sizes, test square, assembly guide, page numbers and
alignment markers, cutting rectangles
ASSEMBLY
Trim your sheets along the cutting rectangles. To save time, you can cut only the right and bottom edges
of each rectangle. Assemble your sheets according to the assembly guide on page 1, making sure to align
all markers correctly.
CUT
Refer to the size chart to determine your correct size, then cut along the dashed lines corresponding to it.
If you want to keep all sizes intact, we recommend tracing the pattern instead of cutting it directly.
SEW
That’s it! Now, transfer your pattern onto your fabric and start sewing.
For the best results, make a quick toile to confirm the size and adjust the pattern perfectly to your body
shape.
