1. A train 240 m long crosses another train 300 m long coming from the opposite direction in 15 seconds. If

the speed of the first train is 72 km/h, find the speed of the second train.

2. A mixture of 60 liters contains milk and water in the ratio 2:1. How much water must be added to make the

ratio 1:2?

3. A, B, and C can complete a piece of work in 10, 15, and 20 days respectively. They start together, but A

leaves after 2 days and B leaves 3 days before the work is completed. In how many days is the work

finished?

4. A sum of money is invested at compound interest at 20% per annum compounded annually. It amounts to

Rs.86400 in 2 years. Find the sum.

5. A shopkeeper sells two items at Rs.1000 each. On one he gains 25% and on the other he loses 20%. Find

his overall profit or loss percentage.

6. A can complete a work in 12 days. B is 60% as efficient as A. How long will they take to complete the work
